12 oz bottle. Clear, reddish brown with a thin tan head. Well carbonated. Sweet malt and toffee nose, lightly spiced. Sweet caramel and toffee flavors, a bit of tobacco and a wisp of smoke.Just a touch of the alcohol pops up in the finish. Not bad.

Pours with ruby clarity and a completely diminished tan head. Nose of highly caramelized malts and mildly spicy hops. Finishes strong and rather uncomplicated. Rather unremarkable.

The color was copper. The head was thin, creamy, off-white. The aroma was sweet, caramel malt, light fruit, and some spice. The flavor was the same. The palate was thick-bodied and smooth. The finish was warm and malty.

Pours a lean reddish copper with a one finger frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet, grainy, definitely lagered, light alcohol. The flavor is nice, fruity alcohol, sweet, some sort of fruit at the rear of my tongue. comforting carbonation, grain, grassy hops. Warming lively mouthfeel and finish. I likes

Pours a dark amber with an orangish tan head. Aroma of caramel and spice. Tastes of caramel, licorice, and butter. Roasted malt sweetness comes through as well. Excellent effort.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy beige head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, a touch of vanilla, toffee and some flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of sweet caramel malt, toffee, a touch of candi sugar, and some vanilla. Finish is semi-sweet, aftertaste has a sugared and alcohol infused caramel malt with some metallic character that brings out some alcohol presence.

Medium amber with offwhite head that dies entirely. Nose of alcoholic caramel malt, slightly sour and fruity. Flavor is sweet, sweet malt with some hops bitterness in the finish. Slight sour fruity twinge to the malt, which helps balance out the sweetness. Alcohol definitely present. Good carbonation, but a bit thin throughout. I wished for more toasty caramel and a bit thicker body.

I think someone at the Bell’s Brewery decided it would be funny to give such a name to a beer. Nice almond taste with a good aroma. Some bittering hops taste like they have been used, but it leaves no aftertaste. Solid brew and I definitely will have to give my recommendation.
