Commercial Description:
Consecrator is a traditional doppelbock-style fermented with a Bohemian lager yeast. Reddish brown in color, with a mild hop profile, Consecrator is a well balanced, full bodied beer with hints of caramel and molasses in its smooth, malty finish. Brewed for a Fat Tuesday release.

Bottle, Batch 7753--packaged January 31, 2007. Clear reddish copper with a small beige head, fading to a ring. Brown sugar, toasted grain, and some fruity crystallized dark sugars from something like raisins make up the aroma. Flavor has the toasted grain up front with some moderate raisin and brown sugar caramel sweetness. Alcohol is present and warming, but not hot--I didn’t realize this was 8%. Slightly bitter semi dry finish. Low creamy carbonation with a full body. A nice example of the style, but not my favorite.

Bottle, thanks to Duane! I’m a fan of Doppel, and this didn’t disappoint! Lighter in color than expected, but that didn’t matter. Flavor was good, abit sticky, with fig, raisin, dark sugar, alcohol is well hidden, a great brew for an American Brewery!

Batch 7753 A nice beer overall. The flavor lingers on the palate. It is a nice one to buy during Lent and explore throughout the year.

dark copper red in color. small head that disappears soon after. easily drinkable, smooth beer. a great one to have for a session. could easily take a 6-pack of this, but at 8% you might not finish them all (or have a great time doing it)

Thanks to some awesome RateBeerian for sending me this lovely beverage!

Brewed in I believe Feb of 2006.
Pours a dark murky amber body and a wispy tan head. The aroma is sweet with molasses and toffee, a hint of oxidation resides. The flavor is a complex blending of mocha, plums, fig and dates, a hint of smoke, raisins, and chocolate covered cherries… WOW, really great!
The carbonation level is low, but a viscous fruity mouthfeeel is in play… A very / dangerously drinkable beer! -I dig it!

12 oz bottle shared with padrefan98. Hazy brown with not much head. Not a lot of carbonation either. Sugary raisin aromas with some brown sugar in there too. Flavors were nice molasses and dark fruits. Very malty. Nice alcohol finish. Pretty good.
