Sticky vanilla maltiness...Pours clear reddish brown with one finger of biege head. Aroma is rock-candy malt, vanilla and maybe some cotton candy. Mouthfeel is full, very smooth, pretty sticky. Light weepy rings of lacing. Flavor is vanilla and rock candy malt - tasty for sure but not much for complexity here. Lovely palate on this though. Almost like a barleywine without the hops. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Malty aroma with some caramel. The flavour is typical dopplebock, creamy caramel, lots of malts, a hint of hops and well hidden alcohol. WeeHeavySD (2980), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Shared with Bartzilla, Naven, BikesandBeer and others. This was a light fresh dopplebock. Not a bad brew, tasty and light without the 8% really coming through much at all. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Smells pretty malty. Tastes that way as well. Hell, I just described a Dopplebock! This is EXACTLY what you would expect it to be, and pretty darn good at that. Alcohol notes are completely subdued. Trouble looms. Bonus invisible point for the goats on the label. Hints at evil, which is how I roll. adrian910ss (1424), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of malts, caramel and candied dark sugar. Taste is malty with a strong caramel backbone and a bready finish. Nothing special.
