Light bodied. Slight maltiness. Caramel and light sweet flavors. Finish is a little alcoholic with that burn in the back of the throat. topherh (940), Kearney, Missouri, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2007 Carbonated amber body. Grainy nose, very light. Carmel flavor with a sweet characteristic. I think this one might be off, or I’ll have to quote MilkManDan and say "last year’s was better" DirtyMartini (194), Los Angeles, Alabama, USA

Flavor was some caramel, nuttiness, and roasted malts. Enjoyable, nothing offending, a nice warm winter beer that I would drink again. blizzardlover (43), Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 8, 2007 Clear, ruby-red liquid. Light, tan head. Bouquet is sour, almost mill-dew like. Take a drink, bam, sweet/sour flavors abound. Sweet, alcohol is present, but not overboard. Tons of malt throughout. Cinnamon and spice mixed in too. Striking taste. Electric to the pallet. Big fan. Very fresh taste overall. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 8, 2007 mmmmm. i recall the odor being unpleasant for sure. the taste was just kinda weak i thought. as for color kinda watery looking not real dark. just did not do it for me, although i love most of what bells bring to the table just my style here i guess! drewbeerme (2306), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2007 12oz bottle, bottled a few months ago. thanks to mreusch for this extra. i’ve passed on 6packs of this stuff for years and chicagoland area stores don’t sell singles! so i was stoked to get this as an extra. the name of this beer is very RR-esque, they should’ve brewed a belgian influenced dopplebock and called it Consecrator. okay onto the beer.....pours ruby with white head. aroma is crisp, caramel, molasses, faint noble hops and cinnamon. flavor is very crisp, molasses, caramel, cookie, plums, and nuts. a little too sweet. finish is sort of spicy and crisp. carbination is a tad fizzy. body is a tad thin. alcohol is well hidden. for me, this hits the style on the nose, but there’s nothing unique or special about it. a solid doppelbock.
