| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Tobacco hued body capped and an almost toffee colored head. The aroma is sweet with hints of raisin and plum. Mildly carbonated but very creamy profile. Well balanced. Finishes very sweet, reminiscent of a port. Much sweeter and less bold than I expected.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2010 12 oz. bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a clear red amber with a small beige head that leaves a ring around the edge along with some lace. Aroma of vanilla, sweet malts, caramel, maple syrup, banana, hops, and oak. I didn’t like the flavor quite as much. There was something funky holding it back. Otherwise, there were notes of caramel malts, nuts, hops, toast, banana, molasses, and cherries. Light-medium bodied, sweet, with gentle carbonation. Chewy mouthfeel with a sweet, almost tart finish. radiomgb (2074), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Muddy brown, thin beige head, very light lacing.
Aroma is very sweet, very oxidized, maple, malty.
Flavour is again oxidized, sweet, sugary, dark fruits, malty, light bitterness.
Lightly bitter warming mouth, med/light body, med carb.
Finishes long, oxidized, malty.
Past it’s prime, drinkable but nothing left to offer.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a nice rich brown with a thin tan head. This is an excellent doppelbock. Floral hops and orange oil in the very pleasant aroma. The aroma is strong with roasted malts, sweet fruit, and a bit smoky, with some dark fruit, brandy, and tobacco notes. On the palate it is a bit creamy, but still chewy. The flavor is very complex , with a dry, hoppy finish. Wow, what a great beer. madmitch76 (659), , Essex, England

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 12, 2009 I love the way the names of doppelbocks end in "ator" - Liberator, Troegenator, Ironator, and this here Consecrator. These are probably references to the great Ayinger Celebrator (#1 doppelbock on RB). Well, I am rating this just as high. This is an excellent doppelbock, and it deserves a higher rating. Floral hops and orange oil in the very pleasant aroma. The flavor is rich, fruity, and smoky, with some fig, prune, brandy, and tobacco flavors. Complex and old world, with a dry, hoppy finish that says "aufwiedersehen" with a nice tingle. This is the best Yankee bock I have tried yet. I say it deserves a higher rating. bhensonb (4400), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours a clear reddish copper with a large frothy beige head. Heavy malty aroma. Medium body. Mild carbonation. Flavor is sweet darkish malt, but there are other flavors. Dark fruits tending towards cola. Very pleasant. Seems to finish with a touch of treacle. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2009 Bottle: Deep rusty auburn with good clarity and a wispy light tan head. Clean richly malty aroma- toffeeish with good malt depth- some raisin, brown sugar and toasted chewy dark bready notes with a subtle alcohol touch. Chewy body yet soft and fluffy on the palate. Clean and dense yet balanced malt flavor. Some raisin, cocoa, toffee sweetness- the rich sweetness is balanced by some toasted malt flavors as well and a late mild peppery noble hop presence. Very well done Doppelbock- feels German. Snojerk321 (2034), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Bottle. Pretty copper pour. Small tan head fades quickly. Aroma is sweet malts, toasted caramel, brown sugar, rusty iron, ripe fruits and candy. Taste combines these, minus the rusty iron, with some soft nutty flavors, dark bread, and soft candied fruits. Light alcohol comes through in spots as well. Body is medium to medium-full. There’s some creamy carbonation filling out this rather chewy beer. Ends with more caramel, sweet malts, candy, dark breads and hints of fruit.
