daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA May 3, 2009 Bonus bottle from lampeno. Thanks so much! Light amber pour. Light malts, light hops, cereal sweetness and hints of nuts on the nose. Flavor is light and smooth. Nutty around the edges with a balancing dose of hops. Easy to drink and pretty good. Pailhead (2572), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Mar 27, 2009 Bottle : The aroma contains moderate caramel, light citrus, and a hint of sourness. It pours a slightly hazy amber with moderate sediment and small soapy off-white head. The flavor starts with some light caramel up front. The finish has some muted citrus hops. Medium bodies with light carbonation. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA Mar 24, 2009 So, this isn’t just another repack job of the amber? Guess ill crack a bottle and not save them as novelty beers for 50 years.
Drank on 3-24-09. Looks like the amber when poured, except for the heavy sediment amount in the body of the beer. Full head that quickly fades. I think its hoppy-er than the amber, with no alcohol. Somewhat dry finish. Pretty good. coyotehunter (542), , Michigan, USA Jan 3, 2009 Bottle, no batch number. Smells and tastes like Amber ale with a good malt and hops flavor. Some pepperiness in the background. I guess it does taste mildly better than an Amber Ale, but then again Ive had more than a few beers at this point. MrBunn (1521), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 13, 2008 Bottle. I am a little suspicious as to whether this is a repackage job, but here goes... Pour is a slightly hazy deep amber and head is a little better than a finger of dense beige foam at first. Aromas have a bit of a peppery edge to them with some sweet malt and a little touch of floral hops. Flavor revolves around a nice and full malt presence and branches out into a little bit of a peppery hops. If I had to guess, I would say this is a Bells Amber Ale that has maybe been less filtered. jtw (942), farmington, Michigan, USA Dec 6, 2008 purchased at the eccentric cafe, 12 oz bottles. pours out a mostly clear amber, with some yeast sediment dispersed. malty scotch-ale aroma, very reminiscent of the new Christmas Ale from Bells. Lightly hoppy citrus elements, but malt-forward. no alcohol heat but has some spicy warming flavors. fun beer.
