CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 14, 2006 On tap at the Eccentric Cafe on 4/28/06: Pours a hazy pale golden with a thin-lacing white head. Lightly sweet, grainy malty aroma has noble hoppy notes. Body starts semi-dry, earthy and grainy with a touch of pale malty sweetness. Decently balanced with bittering hops, but really needs something else. CMUBEERMAN (415), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 31, 2006 This barely resemlbed an APA...shared with the two folks below. color was a hazy dark yellow. Aroma was had a lot a spice and a bit of hops. Flavor had tons of starch and spice. Mouthfeel was dry. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA May 30, 2006 shared by zeswaft. he called it watered down oberon, but i actually thought it was reasonably good. had a lot of flavor, big bitterness, and yet quite sweet as well. i’d probably have it again. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA May 30, 2006 The best and only way to describe this beer is that it’s a watered down version of Oberon. Same flavor, hops, and aroma, diluted with water. Not bad, and pretty good for a lighter beer. Silphium (2114), Haslett, Michigan, USA May 24, 2006 On tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Hazy light brown body, medium off-white head. Grassy and slightly bitter with breads and light nutty touches. Relatively simple, but quaffable and refreshing as far as beers go. goldtwins (4078), Nesconset, New York, USA May 5, 2006 Draft @ Bell’s Eccentric Cafe: Hazy yellow color with a white head. Malty aroma is light with some lemon notes. Smells wheaty and maybe even some corn aroma. Malty light sweetness in the flavor. Light citrus as well. Very mild bitterness on the finish. I didn’t think this was too bad. SuIIy (1405), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Mar 18, 2006 Draft at Bells. Pours a light hazy orange color with a tiny white/transparent head. Head recedes to a light ring. Nose is light hops, sugary sweetness. Taste is light hops, more of the sugary sweetness, a hint of citrus. Dry with a fizzy palate and light bitterness.
