Beer still tasted great. Black pour with brown head. Flavor is of a normal dark roasted stout with some chocolate, far from the best Imperial stout I’ve had IMHO. JoeTheYounger (293), California, USA

Aroma and taste of roasted coffee, smoked malts, dark bitter sweet chocolate. Medium carbonation. Very kickass. DeeBee21 (45), NH, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Black pour, tan head.. Flavor is of dark bitter chocolate, vanilla beans, little bit of that liquorish in there. Everything is very big in this stout, lots of chocolate lots of bitterness very dry. lots of dark sugar sweetness as well. Very, very nice!! Jblauvs (631), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Dark Black pour like an oil spill. Tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is Dark deep Chocolate that is simple but powerful. The Roast profile adds some complexity and a touch of ash. Flavor is immediately bold chocolate and insistent bitter roast. Under the roast is a layer of peatiness and a bit of booze. The chocolate starts out slightly milky and creamy but by the end transforms to bitter bakers chocolate. Mouthfeel is creamy with a bit of chalk. Dark and Rich, this beer is something very special craftycarl21 (580), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Black pour, small tan head. Aroma holds tons of roasted malt, but the roast has a depth to it, dark and sinister, that is more complex than most stouts. Lots of chocolate and peat, and a bit of cream as well. Flavor isn’t massively complex, but the roast, bitterness, and peat are positively assaulting. Any stout lover should be all over this beer. Chalky notes, bitter chocolate, and some caramel and alcohol presence hit in the middle, then fade to the roasty presence. Unbelievable imperial stout. oteyj (800), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Thanks craftycarl21. Utterly black pour devoid of all light, Aroma is extremely roasty creamy and alcoholic with cocoa nib and vanilla sweetness.. Dark fruits also prevail, but take a back seat to the roast and peat. Flavor is a roasted malt overload. Tons of dark sugar sweetness and dark chocolate. Palate is rich and full as can be with a chalky roasty aftertaste. Incredibly well crafted. hobbersr (412), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Bottle shared with Savvy1982 and Macadem. Thanks for the share Kyle! Pours black with molasses colour highlights. Aroma is really big. Coffee, leather, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, oak and licorice. This is a really big beer, not as big as Bourbon County... but still very big. Oak, cocoa nibs, licorice, caramel, bourbon, coffee beans, leather, vanilla and coconut. Very soft palate. Crazy good.
