Commercial Description:
The darkest beer we make; this Imperial stout contains double the malt and five times the hops of our Kalamazoo stout and is perfect for cellaring as its complex character will evolve over time. Available October-March.

It pours dark. Very dark. It looks almost like motor oil that should have been changed a long time ago. The head is thick, frothy, and the color of milk chocolate. The aroma is malty with hints of alcohol , coffee and chocolate. The flavor is of sweet chocolate and coffee with a bit bitterness. The most noticeable aspect of drinking this beer is how creamy it is in the mouth. This beer has a lot of flavor and is very heavy. A good winter beer no doubt.

This beer is fkn big. A monster of malts and hops. Took me over two hours to finish. Blacker than black with average head but outragous lacing. Aroma is of cocoa and chocolate. Taste of intense creamy malts and medium to high hops. Good god!

Awesome! Lots of flavors come to mind, all of them are dark....coffee, chocolate, licorice. Really nice smell. Black in body, almost a redish brown head. Bells is my favorite brewer at the moment.

355 mL bottle. Opaque black with a small brown head. The aroma is stout-meets-IPA. And they become friends. The flavour has lots of licorice, espresso, dark chocolate, roast, dark fruit, and hops. Some alcohol burn at the end. Really smooths out and simplifies as it warms. Carbonation is perfect. Very full body. Excellent!

Cellaring a few of them, but couldn’t help but give one a taste. Big in every way, with a finish that lingers and lingers, and every aspect seems to change and evolve with each sip. Remarkable beer. Challenges the Dark Lord. I’d like to try them back to back.

The beer pours a dark black with a thick tan head. There is a nice streak or film of head residue left along the sides of the glass. The nose is a extreamly intense chocolate and roasted expresso with mocha. The flavor is so robust and has a malted milk ball smoothness on the palate. It also leaves a nice bitter hop finish that sticks on your tounge. The finsih is so creamy and full of rich coffee and dark chocolate.
