Funny drawing on label of a floored hop lover. Dry and subtle hop flavors dominate, orange, herbs, and flowers. There is something a little medicinal, like Toms of Maine toothpaste, in there too, but it is not unpleasant. Fragrant and fully hopped, but with a mild sweetness that takes the edge off. A fresh tingle comes on towards the end of the swallow. The 10 percent ABV is very well concealed. This is a top of the line IPA that goes into my Top 10. A big thanks to Adrian for sharing another Michigan classic with me. bluemooner (230), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Medium body. Strong bitter flavor of hops, malts, some citrus, pine, and earthy notes, other fruits and spices. Bitter and dry finish. A very good india pale ale from start to finish. The honey takes this IPA in a nice, new direction. Something nice within a saturated style. dogfish120love (257), west hartford, Connecticut, USA

Not as bitter of an aroma as I expected.Flavor is sweet at first, grapefruit and pine then it finishes bitter. Progressively goes from sweet to bitter the moe I drink it. Not as brutal as I thought it was going to be on the tongue. 41cubs (134), , New Jersey, USA

It aged in his yeast inladed cask belly for as long as it takes bucko and then out comes this stuff from his pristine piss rod. At your leisure sir. The check is now officially in the mail. Thank You Bells. 2009 12 oz. steinlanguage (1), Wisconsin, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 18, 2009 I heard this was worth the $15.99, so I made the investment. Excellence has its price and its 10%a.b.v. Surprisingly well balanced considering the dump trunk of hops and the everclear level of alcohol. Love it. zizzybalubba (357), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 14, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Coasters. Clean, citrusy pine and grapefruit hop aroma. Color is dark orange, hard to distinguish in appearance from an IPA. Flavor is incredible; pineapple, grapefruit, some alcohol and some sweetness. The honey probably adds to the stickiness. I must say this is better 2 months after its initial release now that the honey has worked its way through. Still probably not as good as the 2008 version but still outstanding.
