Commercial Description:
The satisfying elements of both stout and coffee come together in this full-bodied treat. A marriage of Sumatra's best with rich chocolate and roasted malt provides for a truly enlightening beer.

Bottle from Butters. Pours a dark brown body with a light brown head. Smells like coffee with a bit of chocolate. Tastes like coffee, roasted, and nice bitterness. Coffee finish.

Bottle shared with Steve. Great coffee stout. Excellent choc espresso flavor and has a beautiful caramel smokey finish. Go try this one.

Pours Black with little or no Head. Tons of Coffee and Roasted Malt. Little bit bitter but that’s dues to the coffee. Awesome night cap or after dinner beer.

12oz bottle from The Brass Tap in Wesley Chapel, FL. Pours dark brown, almost black with a thin tan head. Aroma is strong of toffee and caramel with some black coffee. Flavor is burnt espresso, toffee, caramel...very sweet. Medium mouthfeel, burnt/sweet aftertaste. This is good...but almost too sweet for me...and thats unheard of.

I’m not sure what happened here, but this was not a great stout that I expect from Bells. The coffee flavor was very mild and there was a strnge bitterness present in the after-taste.

Bottle received in a trade, thank you so much but I’m at a loss who so kindly included this one in a trade. Pours black as pitch with a smallish tan head. Aroma is huge fresh roasted coffee, very rich and inviting. Flavor is roasted coffee, caramel, chocolate malt some slight dark fruit in the finish. Very creamy mouth feel and overall a very nice stout. An enjoyable second to the first stout of the evening, Peche Mortel.

I can’t describe beer like everyone else here, but I’ll sum up my feelings: delicious, dark brew with an extra caramelized head, with a wonderful dark taste leaving a hint of coffee. My kind of stout!
