| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Poured dark with a brown head. Aroma is huge on coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste was coffee, a big ass dose of coffee. Underneath the coffee was roasted malt, chocolate, some spice, and a hop bite underneath that lingered. Thank the lord I like coffee, otherwise I would hate this beer. cmillward (434), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep brown/black with a hefty tan head that leaves some nice lacing on the side of the glass. Big balanced aroma of coffee, chocolate, some malty/wort aromas. Leads in with a roasted coffee front, chocolate and caramel, a little sweetness in the middle, some dark fruit notes, fades to slightly hop bitter and roast grain astringency. Smooth and incredibly drinkable, low carbonation, with a nice medium to heavy mouthfeel, a little acidic maybe from the coffee, tannic drying. Although this is coffee forward, they integrate it very well into the base stout. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA

Nose is chocolate, caramel here and there, and strong coffee. Really enjoyed this one. Cheers! Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 12, 2008 Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells of coffee, chocolate, some spicy hints, roasted malt, vanilla. Tastes sweet and semi bitter with a coffee flavor that is complimentary rather than the dominant feature. Some dark fruity hints emerge on the finish. The body on this one is slick. Very enjoyable beer. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
