12 oz bottle from Gregis. Batch 7768 - (packaged on December 21, 2006). Pour is deep brown with only faint ruby highlights, smallish tan head. Aroma of musty charred wood, smoke, perhaps a bit of milkiness. Taste of milky caramel sweetness, and the charred coffee taste behind. There is some bitterness on the finish. Body is somewhat syrupy and mouth coating. This reminded me of the Bells Double Cream Stout, though a bit flatter and a lot less soft. If I see this a bit fresher, I may give it another try. Thanks for giving me this beer, Greg.

(USA) Dark brown color with a med-tan head. There is a roasted espresso / chocolate aroma with a folgers or maxwell house taste. I think it has a slight bitter finish, but a well bodied brew !!! This one is recommended. And another cool thing is the artwork on the bottle.

Pours out dark brown with a slight tan head. Aroma is of coffee, roasted malt and slight chocolate. Taste is complex coffee, roasted malt, slight hop. Coffee isn’t overpowering and neither are the hops. Very well balanced.

12oz bottle at Niko’s Restaurant, Lebanon, PA...pours very dark with minimal tan head...sweet malty aroma with coffee and chocolate...favor is like a cold glass of hopped up espresso, dry, slightly bitter with a hint of semi-sweet chocolate...I really enjoyed this one.

Opaque ruby body with a small tan head. Aroma of bitter baker’s chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is full but not overpowering, with rich roasted espresso, sweet chocolate, and a good dose of hoppiness. The palate is dry and tangy with a dry, bitter finish. Alcohol is barely evident. Very well done!

This beer pours a very dark black, with basically no head. The aroma is of chocolate and coffee. It reminds me a little of tobacco. The taste is really good. It tastes very chocolatey, balanced with some roasted coffee astringency and no noticeable hop flavor or aroma. It is full bodied. I would like to try the beer without the coffee added to see exactly what it brings to the party other than novelty. The only thing that could improve this beer would be a thick head!

Pours a deep dark brown with tannish mocha head. Aroma is coffee grounds and little else. Flavor is folgers medium sweet coffee, light grapefruit and roasted malt. Medium to body, creamy texture. Really expected more out of this one ala Southern Tier Coffee Stout.

Pours into a dark coffee with a light tan head. No lacing. Dark chocolate is the dominant flavor with hints of coffee. Goes down rather smoothly. Bitterness is not overwhelming and similar to that of coffee. Tasty stuff.
