Commercial Description:
The satisfying elements of both stout and coffee come together in this full-bodied treat. A marriage of Sumatra's best with rich chocolate and roasted malt provides for a truly enlightening beer.

Pours into a dark coffee with a light tan head. No lacing. Dark chocolate is the dominant flavor with hints of coffee. Goes down rather smoothly. Bitterness is not overwhelming and similar to that of coffee. Tasty stuff.

This pours jet black with a dissipating brown tan head. It just reeks of coffee, but I love my morning coffee and am okay with that. The flavor though is all coffee, which I again am mostly okay with. But it seems like it’s so much coffee that the beer is just completely unbalanced. I almost think I’m drinking a cold cup of coffee instead of a beer as a matter of fact. But finishes with a nice coffee bitter, which I do enjoy. Tasty beer, but there are better coffee beers out there.

A great balance of the stout and Coffee. Nither over powers the other. Another hit from Bell’s

Bells Java Stout is a pitch dark stout beer with a great mocha head. The aroma is coffee and the taste fully mimics the aroma. This is a fantastic coffee stout.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with red highlights. Big, cottony, tan-like thick head. Constant lacing on the glass. Big roasted coffee in the nose. The malts are prevalent and very roasted. A bit of a smoky quality, too. Very rich. Flavor has coffee everywhere. Soft, creamy malts, with chocolate and caramel coalescing in unison. Some raisin, too. Nice vanilla finish. Medium-body. Very drinkable, and well-balanced. A very enjoyable brew.

bottle. Aroma is nice roasted coffee malt with notes of licorice, dark fruit essence, and chocolate. Dark ruby/black hue with a nice tan head that left good lace. Flavor is roasted coffee, licorice, chocolate. Nice finish with a good coffee linger. Palate is smooth and medium bodied. Fantastic brew, I’ve impressed many a coffee lover with this stout. A classic.
