It came out a dark black color with a very nice 1.5 finger width tan head. The aroma is fairly bland for a stout. It consisted of roasted malt, faint coffee, and possibly some very subtle dark fruit notes. The taste also consisted of roasted malt and some coffee. It left a bit of a strange metallic aftertaste though. Finished with a nice bitter taste. Overall, a very good stout, but definitely not as good as Bells Expedition... beernovice39 (277), South Carolina, USA

Beautiful notes of coffee and chocolate. Some smoked notes as well like soft bacon. Meat remains on the flavor. Interesting taste. Finish retains a smoky feeling. Some amounts of bitter coffee. A good stout that aged for several years before we enjoyed it. AndreasJaeger (101), Helsingborg, Sweden

Nose is coffee and a little fruit with ever-so-slight hops. Chewy mouthfeel. Taste is strong coffee with consistent smooth malts. Caramel finish with some hops. Very complex, powerful brew. Awesome, but I prefer Expedition. bigbobdog (39), USA
