Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Mar 5, 2006 From the bottle: This is the way a stout should look right from the bottle, motor oil-black with a cascading tan head. Little aroma, but there’s a nice roasty flavor ... a hint of coffee, a hint of dark chocolate. Nice.
DTM (373), Winters, California, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle aquired in trade from StFun. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malt flavor with a hint of coffee. Smooth and even on the palate. Just a tad thin or I would have thought it was an imperial stout. An overall great brew. timfoolery (341), California, USA Sep 1, 2008 From STFun trade. This stout was excellent. For a straight stout, it exhibited more maltiness, balance, and consistent flavor than most (if not all) I’ve had. Nice sized head and lacing. The carmel and coffee flavors and smells were apparent. bconley (14), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 1, 2008 dchmela..........you’re the MAN!!! I really liked this. BLACK in the body. Pretty malty, and caramel and coffee smells are present. Very smooth and creamy. Not too bubbly. Not sure if I like it as much as Java Stout, but I really like it. fonefan (4439), Ulfborg, Denmark Sep 1, 2008 Bottle 12 fl.oz @ home [ Courtesy of kmweaver ]. Clear dark black color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, coffee, coffee dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy - smooth, carbonation is soft - flat. (180608) kegbear (77), Orange, California, USA Aug 31, 2008 Thanks to msante79 for this one. One of the nicest stouts I have had. Has the deep roasted malt tastes, but not overpowering like some stouts that taste like an ash tray. Smooth and creamy feel. Roasted malt blended with deep chocolate and coffee. All well blended.
