puggy211 (576), cordova, Tennessee, USA Nov 28, 2008 Oberon is a great wheat ale all summer long. It provides a template for other American wheats to work from as it is aromatic and richly flavored. Increasingly yeasty in finish as a nod to German wheats. very nice. nefarious (202), Clarkston, Michigan, USA Nov 28, 2008 First thing, I dont really like wheat beers. Except for this and Gumball head. Hazy orange pour with a fluffy head and nice spiced aroma. This beer brings back memories and is still a fun pour/ KornDogg (168), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 3, 2008 mild aroma, light carbonation... a hint of orange with a balance of spice... mild flavored wheat ale MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Nov 1, 2008 A Mes rate: bottle at the Harry vs Wolfman fist fight. Nabu: ’’A place far, far away, the place where I was born...’’ Bollo: ’’Peckham?’’ Nabu: ’’No, the planet Oberon you jerk off!’’ Hazy gold with a thin off white head. Mellow hoppage with a good grassy character. Nicely balanced. The Belgian and Czech character is quite clear. Enjoyable but no show stopper. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 31, 2008 This beer and Southern Tier’s Pumking should never be consumed within half an hour of each other. Take it from someone who knows. BassmanSK (3), , Wisconsin, USA does not count Oct 30, 2008 Pretty light orange on the pour with a little small head that leaves a small amount of lacing. Aroma is of light wheat. Nice, slightly sweet citrus and honey. Very clean smooth and light. Its probably best during the summer but I could enjoy it anytime of year. 1010 (206), Marysville, Ohio, USA Oct 28, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange color with a thick white head that disaptes into a thin line. Definite fruity summer ale with some spice. Really a good beer on a hot day.
12 oz. bottle Jsawyer (282), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 27, 2008 Updated: Sep 1, 2009Bottled. Pours Pale solid ochre, plenty of beautiful sediment. Looks like a cloud inside of an orange ice sickle. Nice frothy head that laces down the glass. Nose is sweet bread (yeast), citrus leaves (Saaz I’m sure), honey, hint of spicy wheat, flower petals, and slightly sweet malt. Flavor is mellifluous and orange citric up front, mellow spicy yeast, and well balanced by light malt. Palate is crisp and smooth, slightly effervescent. Good beer.
