this ale had an oat/bread smell i thought. i wasn’t impressed with the smell. the color was nice, a hazy, orange, with a minimal head, with medium sourness .medium body, with a sticky, flat, bitter finish i thought the only really good thing about this beer was the appearance. it also had some little white particles floating in it

This is a great summer ale. Blue Moon is very bland compared to this ale. Nice beer to have while sitting around a campfire.

Hazy deep golden colour...cloudy with a lot of misty particles. Somewhat sweet smell...cotton candy? Medium bodied in the mouth with a bubbly texture. Flavour has a little peppery zing to it and a hint of lemon zest. Finish is nice and malty. Not bad but a little bit heavy for a summer ale...fits my taste more in the autumn weather

this wheat goes the spicy route and the hops definately make themselves known but without blowing your head off like a gumball head. was hoping to detect some wit qualities with the belgian wheat but this is pretty much as american as apple pie. nice to see a wheat with a respectable ABV (for the style) and a moderate amount of hops that are neither lost or overwhelming. aroma is a bit disappointing without any distinct wheat or spice. while too many wheats quality as only a ’refreshing summer beer’, this has enough complexities to intregue even a jaded drinker.

Day-old mini keg / 19 Aug 08
Light grainy aroma with hints of spicy hops
Golden, a bit hazy, white head with good retention
Bready malt flavor with spices, light spicy/citrusy hop flavor with a light bitterness
Light body, light carb (might be the day-old keg)
Very tasty and refreshing American Wheat beer. The spiciness and malty character blend nicely to make for a tasty treat

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a noticeable but brief-lived white head. Aroma reminiscent of apples and clean laundry. Flavor begins with apples and citrus, with a pleasant warm effervescence on the tongue, fading to a grassy finish. The nutmeg and other spicy flavors notable in other examples of the genre are muted here.
