I love gumbalhead but this is just way bigger. Looks way better too. Much thicker and very cloudy. The taste is much more breadsy and avoids the spicy citrusy stuff. Very soft feel. Bells is going to sell a heckuvaot of this before the summer closes in chicago... RedXIII (127), Powell, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Great summertime beer. Yellow-amber color with a small white head. Aroma is sweet with faint hints of orange and honey. Taste is very drinkable and delicious and is an upgrade on most wheat beers I’ve tried. Definately a session beer. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Bottle from my girlfriend after visiting Michigan: Very cloudy honey colored pour with not clarity at all and a dense creamy white head. Crisp bright aroma. Wheaty, fruity, light grains, honey soaked lemon, peppery phenolics and lemon grass. Creamy and substantial feel- yet it’s refreshing. Creamy wheat malt flavors with a touch of grain, some lemon grass and a note of herbal honey and late zesty smooth grassy bitterness to make it insanely drinkable. Great summer beer! yumyum (122), barrie, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2008 very boring brew. perhaps expectations were higher based upon other bells products. hazy orange, slight wheaty smell. flavour somewhat weak (due in part to the style). drinkable but very uneventful for me. illidurit (873), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2008 Pours a hazy saffron color with a weak head that looks like it’s composed of air bubbles, not CO2. Accordingly, it fizzes out leaving no lacing. Aroma is bready with some mealy wheat. Flavor is unripe banana/honeydew with a touch of clove and a bready, yeasty base. Crisp and clean, extremely refreshing despite a substantial body. Really easy to drink, and a beer I wish was readily available to me for use during hot summer days. markwise (1175), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 28, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow with a diminishing white head. Aroma smells of sour oranges/ peaches with some spice. The flavor is very bready with notes of peach and wacky citrus. It is ok, but not wonderful; not what I have come to expect from Bell’s. hombrepalo (757), Chicago, Illinois, USA

first of many beers tried on my trip to MichiganPoured a hazy golden color with moderate head and a ton of yeast in the bottom-aroma was citrusy and bready. Quite flavorful for as light as it seemed on the tongue, wheaty with some fruitiness and yeast.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Aroma is yeast, sweet fruit, and spice. It’s appearance is a hazy orange, with a fluffy head. It’s flavor is subtle, but complex, with wheat body, citrus spice, and some tiny bit tartness. It’s supra-smooth, a nice session.
