outerspace81 (4), Detroit, Michigan, USA does not count Jun 25, 2008 I really look forward to this beer every year when it comes out in late March. It brings back lots of memories of living in Kalamazoo and drinking a glass with friends. I would recommend this beer to anyone looking for a great summertime ale. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 25, 2008 Many thanks to Daknole...12oz bottle....Pours a very bright light copper with a small off-white head....light sweet malt aroma....I get some caramel too....medium to light creamy mouth feel ...very refreshing palate...the wheat is present , but infused with caramel and some earthy, piney tones...the most unusual wheat ive had...a little citrus in the finish as well bryandhargrave (165), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 24, 2008 i tell girls to get this when im ordering something a bit more brutal. its nice. refreshing. if i were to really love wheats, id like this one a lot. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pours a nice and hazy gold with a fair amount of creamy head that laces nicely. Smells of citrus rind, orange, lemon and yeast. Tastes as it smells with spice and a little hops and finishes with a dryness. Feels light in the mouth and quenches ones thirst very well. A session beer no doubt and on a summer day this is an oasis.
Bigmmartin (366), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jun 24, 2008 Updated: Jun 29, 2008Bottle: A perfect summertime beer. Light and refreshing with an exceptional hoppy/fruity balance. Has some citrus in there as well. When I first drank this beer, I really loved it, but after trying Gumballhead and Hop Sun (urbnhautboug read my mind), it’s not quite as exciting as it once was. Still very enjoyable and just fun to drink. And I’ve also found that it is a perfect beer to use when introducing new beers to someone that may not really love beer that much or have much craft beer experience. It’s extremely hard to dislike. urbnhautebourg (972), Annapolis, Maryland, USA Jun 24, 2008 I really like these hoppy wheat beers and this is no exception. Light and acidic malt with spicy and citrus hops. A bit lighter and less complex than Gumballhead or Hop Sun, but quite refreshing and enjoyable. Slipstream (734), USA Jun 18, 2008 Updated: Aug 5, 2008On tap at Capitol Ale House (Virginia) - a rich, hoppy wheat with bready notes - complex and very nice. Also tried a bottle, thanks to Adrian. The aroma was not the best, but it was well-hopped and a little sweet. Robust and flavorful for the style. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Jun 13, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy peach colored pour with a white head. Aroma is of wheat, some spice and is rather grassy. Good wheat flavor highlighted by a citrusy tea taste... maybe unsweetened Lipton with lemon best describes it.... and some mild bitterness. Its good, but ive become acustomed to more spice in wheat ales which would have been nice here.
