miketd (679), Cleveland, Ohio, USA May 9, 2008 Pour is cloudy orange with a big white head. Aroma of sweet fruit and spice. Flavor is sweet, fruity and has a tad of spice. Nice and easy drinking. Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam May 9, 2008 Opaque cloudberry colour. Orangey aroma with honeyish notes and a wheaty accent. Vague wheaty character with a splash of orangey hop and bready pale malt signature. BeerGestapo (725), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA May 8, 2008 (USA) This wheat ale has a hazy orange color with a sm white head. The aroma is of spices and citrus. The taste is light and crisp with a slight orange peel taste. Not bad, could be a nice summer beer !! couchand (182), Iowa City, Iowa, USA May 8, 2008 Very hazy lightly red-tinted golden straw. Strong creamy white head leaves a ring after every sip.
Light playful aroma, some banana, slight graininess.
Delicate, lightly estery, some fruit and spiciness. Slightly sweet.
Finishes dry and crisp, almost too quickly, demanding that you sip again. Could be dangerous as it
s a whopping 6% (for how delicate it is).
Two words: delicate and drinkable. A great summer beer as it is refreshing but retains complexity. abcfan (247), New Jersey, USA May 7, 2008 Thanks emacgee! Pours a very nice hazy yellow with thin off-white head. Smells like a classic wheat beer. Pepper and grapefruit dominate this one. Very nice flavor and excellent carbonation. Finishes very crisp with a hint of citrus. This one went down very easy, would drink again and again, especially on a hot summer day! Sandman2222 (42), Florida, USA May 5, 2008 Pours rather hazy orange
Smells wonderful; hoppy, spicy, a little fruity.
Tastes just as good as it smells. I make quick work of a 6 pack with a friend.
Finishes quite well, leaving room for another. I’ve turned more than a few onto this great classic Bells beer verymerrymonk (255), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 4, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange body - no head. Citrus and a small presence of pepper and hops. Pretty refreshing - I could have a few more no doubt. andyblaz (7), New York, New York, USA does not count May 4, 2008 This is the beer that got me into good beer. Mad respect! Best on draught (but bottle is good as well). Ya’ll got to stop hatin’ on this brew. Love the hop character, light bodied with a barely (barley) noticable slight fruity yeasty punch. It’s what I think an American Wheat should be period. A true session beer for sure. Drink up Midwest.
