footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Nov 24, 2007 This was at one time one of my summer staples. The problem is, I had so many different brews in the cellar that I got away from buying this. This is a great lightly flavored beer for a hot summer day. Funny, the wheat seemed less obvious to me as I always git a bit of citrus and then the wheat as a backdrop. A nice summer refresher. Do they change this recipe year to year? tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Nov 20, 2007 Bottle. Crisp, slightly sweet and zesty aroma. Some orange peel, lots of grain and a faint wheat sweetness. Pours cloudy bright orange. Flavor is crisp and refreshing with a touch of wheat sweetness, citrus zest and a grain back bone. Medium bodied. This beer used to be more wheat focused without the harsh graininess, but still is nice on a hot summer day. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Nov 18, 2007 Pours a murky light orange with an off-white head. Aroma is a slightly musky sweetness with mild orange peel and spice cant. Nice mild effervescence to the palate. Sweet and mildly spicy start, light Belgian yeast finish. Not overly sweet or overbearing. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Nov 11, 2007 Typical of the style but still very refreshing. well balanced. aroma of oranges and citrus. taste mimics scent with a little lemon. body is thin but adds to drink ability. clean, crisp finish. Cosmopolitan (10), big rapids, Michigan, USA Nov 10, 2007 The only good thing is the flavor. Otherwise I let the hippies have their beer! Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA Nov 5, 2007 Pours with a deep golden body topped by a thin to medium thick, white head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet and floral with a hint of bitterness and a touch of fruit. Light to medium bodied, smooth and a touch watery. timsilvia32 (445), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Nov 4, 2007 2000 through 2005 versions had too much orange hints in them for me. Still had the good Bells style, the hop character added to a wheat bear makes it drinkable. Definetely the best wheat beer I’ve had outside of Germany. Then again, I’ll drink a stout on a 100 degree summer day and not think twice about it. bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 1, 2007 this beer was very good. Balance, light yet full flavored. A real nice wheat beer. The sediment at the bottom is not my cup of tea, but still a damn good brew. Bell’s comes thru again.
