msjacilynn (18), St Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 23, 2007 Tap. Pours cloudy orange with a light sudsy white head. Smells of fruits and yeast. Tastes of spice, fruit and wheat. Light bitter aftertaste. Goes well with an orange. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA Oct 21, 2007 12 oz bottle from Drewbeerme. Cloudy orange with small nice white head. Aroma is orange, yeasty, wheat, very light malt. Wheat, citrus (a little grape), grain, yeast, slight bananavery nice. Medium body, well carbonated. Didn’t drink this too much when it was the ubiquitios Chicago summer beer but I kind of miss it now. tunneler (112), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Oct 17, 2007 Bottle @ Atomic: Had this one last year and loved it, less interesting this go around. Too much yeast showing through but that comes with the territory. Schultsc (478), Henderson, Nevada, USA Oct 16, 2007 Pours a cloudy, bright orange-gold with a thin off-white head. Bright and fruity aroma with some light "Belgian" yeast fermentation characteristics and some alcohol sweetness. Some malt and alcohol flavors with pale spices, some sweetness, and a slightly bitter finish. Comes across deceptively full-bodied but is light on the palate and finishes both strong and delicately. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 14, 2007 GABF ’07. Pours hazy yellow with a small, fizzy, white, diminishing head, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, grain, meal), average hops (herbs) and average yeast (earth, leaves). Medium bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation, and chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 14, 2007 9-18-07 bottle. Cloudy orange golden color. Fluffy initial head. Smells doughy and slightly sweet - a bit too subtle. A decent amount of flavor - actually an incredible amount of flavor in comparison to other wheats. This beer has depth. I really enjoyed it. Great smoothness - almost rich on the palate. A fantastic developed flavor for a wheat. Floback (333), Naples, Florida, USA Oct 12, 2007 Pours a cloud-orange with no head and a white rim. Lacing is loose and oily. Smells are welcoming with flaky baked banana bread and raw sugar-cookie dough. Tastes are similar with more fruit, some heavy cream, pronounced caramel on the palate. Mouth-feel is a little stingy and wheaty. Medium carbonation/ body. Not bad. Different. Kirill (264), Durham, North Carolina, USA Oct 10, 2007 looks quite fruity with very fluffy lasting head... wheat aroma with fruits, not too strong... spicy flavor with minor hops in the finish... this is probably as good as a wheat ale can get but the style is limiting
