LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Oct 2, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours orangish golden in color with very small white head which does not last long. Sweet aroma with wheat and spice. Taste lite wheat and spice with dry finish. For wheat beer this one is not to bad. Hammster (187), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Sep 28, 2007 On tap at Costello’s in St. Paul, MN. The pour wasn’t too impressive. The beer had a small head but it did have standard cloudy orange color. The aroma and flavor of this beer were intense on citrus. This tasted more like a lambic to me than a wheat beer. Plenty of yeast too. Would have been much more enjoyable on a night that wasn’t so cold. I actually prefer a more subtle wheat. pinkzambia (986), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 28, 2007 Tap at Slow’s in Motown: Murky & dirty look with a stiff head. The aroma is malty with a mild yeast flavor. The finish is real nice. It seems to have much more body than your average American wheat. Well done! BallyLoser (134), Redmond, Washington, USA Sep 27, 2007 Updated: Jul 12, 2009Very good beer. I like the color and aroma very much. Often served with a citrus wedge, I actually prefer the falour with out it. jacare (21), Hinsdale, Illinois, USA Sep 23, 2007 First Oberon ever, last of my Bell’s tastings this weekend. Broke open the bottle, took a sniff, not bad, not much there. Poured it into a pint, now we’re talking, a thick, full bodied bear, orange, and hazy. Just the way I like it, and the reason I buy Bells beer. Taste is heavier on the malty wheaty side, light on hops. I’m a hophead, so this is a negative, but this is not advertised as a hoppy style. So to me, this is my favorite, Two Hearted, without the hops. A good beer. A session beer. I will buy more and drink more. Good, refreshing summer stuff. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 19, 2007 12 oz bottle thanks to DrBayern - Pours a gorgeous cloudy sunset orange in a weizen glass, with a nice white holding head. Smell is nice and citrusy, with predominantly orange scents, along with light yeasty and hearty wheatiness. Taste is nice, rich and quite full bodied for a wheat. Wheaty thick mouthfeel, but still nice and bubbly and refreshing. Very nice and flavorful for the style. holdenn (1432), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 18, 2007 12 oz bottle thanks to drewbeerme. Pours a hazy orange with a decent beige white head. Notes of orange and lemon citrus, yeast and a little spice in the nose. Creamy wheat flavors, yeasty, citrusy, and the slightest bit of spice from hops. Pretty well balanced and tasty. DaMenace123 (250), Houston, Texas, USA Sep 16, 2007 Tried them in Michigan. Smooth, creamy taste of wheat. Very good wheat beer.
