The aroma is a blooming wheat field on a hot summer day after a noon rain shower. Could have been an afternoon rain shower too. Although there’s some malt sweetness in the aroma too. The flavor is sweet with malts and floral honey. I also get grainy malts beyond midway along with a big dose of floral hops. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Bottle. Totally cloudy apricot-orange color. Mild citrusy smell with some cookie and apricot pastry smells. Thin body. Yeasty, but hoppy ending. Pretty boring. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2006 This was actually quite enjoyable to drink. NIce bittersweet fruit aroma, with some wonderful citrus notes, reminiscent of orange rinds. Flavor has some nice toasty caramel maltiness, mixed with a light bit of cereal topped off with a banana. Has alot more body than I expected from the style, but then I think about Bells and I would think nothing less, and am never disappointed even when it is a style I do not really care for. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2003 Cloudy yellow. Smells of banana and spices - cinnimon, maybe? I couldn't really tell. Dry, red pepper flavor to start. Mellow hop, too, just a touch. Full bodied finish. Very few traditional wheat beer characteristics, for better or worse. michael-pollack (2731), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 11, 2005 Draught: Faint citrus/meal scent. Cloudy golden color. Small white head. No lacing. Lemony, with good balance of hops and malts. Rather have a Prima Pils or Farmhous Summer. Still, not bad for a warm day. Nuffield (2728), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2003 A lot of nice characteristics, to be sure, and easy drinking. Nice white head over a golden-yellow body. Some citrus, but not striking me as complex as some wits--lacking a certain edge of spice and replacing it with a hint of sour in the finish. A bit watery at times. IrishBoy (2720), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2007 12 oz bottle; nose of spices, grain, and very light peach and butter notes; orange with a small off white head; flavor is spicy fruit and grain with a hint of butter (diacetyl). Not a great wheat. notalush (2689), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2003 Pours thick for a summer ale, with no head and a murky blonde appearance with lots of large floaties. The bottom of the bottle is coated with a thick layer of white sediment. Smells very citrusy and mildly sweet. Mouthfeel is unusually thick and slightly creamy - flavor is slightly tangy, with a big citrus flavor and a nice malt presence for a summer beer - the finish is slightly bitter and hoppy, but mellows to a mild sweetness in the long term - aside from the appearance, this is probably the best wheat beer I've had yet.
