Tons of suspended sediment in the body, wish I had poured more gently! Thin white head. Burnt cookie and overripe banana in the aroma. The flavor has a very strong yeast component for obvious reasons. The carbonation and spicy hops make for a very lively mouthfeel. The beer has a brief bready sweetness but it’s quickly eclipsed by the yeast and strong hops. Has a herbal, bitter finish. I think the hops are way to strong, they hide whatever nice wheat characteristics might have been in the beer. Also, all the yeast in my glass probably contributes to masking the malt as well. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 21, 2003 Aroma is strong, orange citrus, not unlike Bell's Amber. Appearance is where this beer doesn't measure up. In Has a rapidly dissipating head (I couldn't get my stopwatch out fast enough) and a slightly murky dark gold color. Medium carbonation. With everyone before me seemingly giving 4s for appearance, either I got a bad batch(or old batch)(it was marked down in price) or my thoroughly rinsed glass didn't do anything for it. Taste is definitely on the sour side; reminded me somewhat of Schultheiss' Original Berliner Weiss, though this actually tastes like beer. It has some faintly pleasant undertones, like some fruit that wants to come out and some mild bitterness, but it's just not scoring points for me. One caviat is that I had just previously eaten some very strong, raw onion, which might have shot my taste buds. I'll give this brew a second chance at a re-rate. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Bottle: Hazy straw color with a finger of creamy white head. Light and airy aroma is floral and faintly spicey. Tastes rich with wheat, bread, and malt. A little yeast and cloves too. Rich with the wheat, almost like wheat bread. Crisp finish. Nice. blipp (1716), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2008 Draft at Cole’s in Buffalo. Pours gold with a thin white head. Light aroma with wheat and trace hops. Medium body. Flavor has a light malt profile with caramel and wheat accompanied by a solid grassy/floral note. Very refreshing and drinkable. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2002 an appearance point for the label and packaging, funny and well done. Soft but very hoppy, fully aromatic and lightly bready with little to no toast or fruit. Light lemons and a touch of camphor or spearmint. Unusual, full flavored, and dangerously quaffable. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
