I’m drinking this baby out of my Erdinger Weizen glass…Poured in the sediment to make it a cloudy blustery sunrise of gold and orange, a head of frothy white sea foam blows to shore. The flavor and aroma suggest a dusty wheat likeness, orange zest, a pinch of cinnamon, bananas, and peach juice. The palate is sublime….smooth and creamy. Bitter fruity banana and orange peel finish….. Quite enjoyable

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2007 Updated: Aug 2, 2007Bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small, frothy, white head. Aroma is of wheat malt, straw, yeast. The palate is very nice, especially for an American wheat: medium-bodied, oily, lively and smooth. An interesting wheat that is heavily carbonated without being fizzy. Starts slightly sweet and ends with a light hops note. Crisp and clean. Re-rate: After trying this on tap I was amazed at the difference from the bottle I had first sampled/rated. So, I bought another bottle to see if the first had been an anomaly. It wasn’t. For whatever reason, I found this to be a much better beer on tap. Distinctly spicy and citric notes came from the tap version that are no where to be found in the bottle. Very strange. If I could get the same flavors from the bottle-version, I’d stock my fridge with this beer. As it won’t be available on-tap in KC anymore, I have to stick with my original assessment. This was a little watery and slightly too bitter. A touch of citrus zing in the flavor. Pretty good. kyzr (1123), Belgrade, Montana, USA
