Overwhelming diacetyl in this bottle!!!! I can't smell the wheat malt in this whatsoever. I can't smell or taste anything in this but butter. I'll re rate this at a later date with a new bottle. Spicy in flavor but the finish was a little wierd and not that much to my liking. However, don’t let me be the judge, try it anyways. Frank (1068), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2003 Bright golden with a bit of haze. No head aside from a trace amount of foam. Aroma is yeasty, lightly fruity (peach?). Slightly buttery with a hint of cloves. Tart and fruity. Slightly too thick and sticky to be the true summer refresher this wants to be. Still, it's mild, easy-drinking, and quite pleasant. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Flavor is mild overall, with some Saaz hoppiness and a bit of lemony zest. Not a bad quaffer. chicagodri (1068), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2008 Classic summer beer that I can no longer get in Illinois :( Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Heavy citrus aroma. Nice citrus flavor in the beer as well and just a little bit of spices. A great summer wheat. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 17, 2009 Bells Oberon Ale 3/17/09 (on tap, Yardhouse in FL. Pours very hazy orange with a medium sized head. Aroma is minimal, with light floral notes. Palate is appropriately thick considering the wheat-haze present. Flavor starts with mellow wheat and fruit. Finish has some hop bitterness, but generally ends without leaving much of an impression. Overall, I was underwhelmed by this brew, unable to see much interesting behind a rich wheat body. Perhaps I got a weird tap? obguthr (1060), Poquoson, Virginia, USA

Cloudy golden pour, medium head, but good lacing. Marigold flavor, lightly sweet. Grain and yeast finish. bigrond (1055), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2007 this beer was very good. Balance, light yet full flavored. A real nice wheat beer. The sediment at the bottom is not my cup of tea, but still a damn good brew. Bell’s comes thru again.
