Pours a nice and hazy gold with a fair amount of creamy head that laces nicely. Smells of citrus rind, orange, lemon and yeast. Tastes as it smells with spice and a little hops and finishes with a dryness. Feels light in the mouth and quenches ones thirst very well. A session beer no doubt and on a summer day this is an oasis. milljam (583), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

Very smooth, with subtle notes of hops and malt in both aroma and flavor. Good underlying citrus notes, not overpowering...just a nice refreshing beer from start to finish. Goes great with a slice of orange (much better than using a lemon...the orange brings out the flavor). pj1855 (155), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Foamy white head that leaves some lcing. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Love the flavor of this one. Sweet with some spice. Light carbnonation. Very refresing beer. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA

Aroma of wheat, citrus, and yeast. Flavor is wonderfullly refreshing with a slight sweetness. I am not a big fan of this category of beers, but this takes the cake for me. Perhaps it isn’t the absolute pinnacle of the style but it sure is good. Every part of this beer is reminiscent of the season. The palate and flavor profile is bright, wheaty, and pleasantly citrusy. Citrus is non-contrived and adds plenty to an already nuanced beer. Take the Blue Moon away from your friends and hand them this. krisbierjaeger (844), dolores, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2002 soft yellow brew, the color of scrambled eggs, hazy from the first pour and increasingly so as the yeast forces are marshalled. a kitten’s saucer of cream on top, with billows, blizzards and blankets of beautiful lace. pleasant and (to me) curious, unique nose: few things edible or otherwise come to mind to borrow as metaphors: it’s not woody or bready, not particularly fruity or citrusy, no spice that i can name...celery and oats maybe, but that hardly sounds flattering, some flower petals without the perfume. the palate IS obvious: very smooth, creamy, dry, quenching. not malty, not hoppy, yet medium bodied: it must be all about yeast. i’m no ’yeasthead’, but this is one worth contemplating further.
