Crisp, fruity, orangey, juicy, with a spiciness from the Saaz that lent a zip to the otherwise clean aftertaste. Refreshing and tart even without the usual yeasty notes of the hefes I love. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2006 Draft. Pours hazy golden with some orange hue, along with a white head. Spicy, lemon, and yeast aroma. Flavor of orange zest, lemon, apple balance by a spicy hop bitterness. Clean thirst quenching finish. Not normally a fan of american wheats, but this one is a an old staple and favorite of mine. The european ingredients is probably why I like this one so much. Great summer seasonal. robbyf (19), Michigan, USA

I just don’t understand the "cult status" it seems to enjoy to many who have raved about it to me. I want to try it sometime on tap, also want to try it side-by side with their Amber Ale, Pale Ale, and Winter Ales. I think I’ll buy up a fresh 6 pack about the time the Winter Ale comes out, or maybe make a pilgrimage to their Cafe in K-Zoo. jdmhawk (31), Bettendorf, Iowa, USA
