A real summertime classic. This is probably one of the best selling micros at my works, so I figured I might as well finally rate it. It is definitely awesome on a far too humid, 90 degree summer day. Pours with a small, short-lived foamy head and emits a bright orange color that shines just like the sun on the label, and with just as much character. Very hazy, with some sediment. The aroma is fresh, orangey, grassy, and stickly sweet, with apparent coriander, malted and un-malted wheat, and a defining peppery yeast smell. The beer has an estery, energetic mouthfeel; tangy, spicy overtones, and is overall very easy to drink, making it equally popular with beer geeks and the occasionaly craft beer drinker. Mandarin oranges, lemon peel, doughy bread, and pumpernickel all make an appearance, as well as the shyest, most restrained hop bitterness to give this fresh summer libation a clean, crisp and exciting finish.

Dec 3, 2008 Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Cloudly light orange color. Thin off white head. Nose is yeasty with some grain and citrus. Alot like Blue Moon, but with a little more spice on the tongue and not as sweet,

Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Lemon, light color with limited but soapy head that hangs on the glass. Wheaty, citrusy, grainy. Average to light body. Somewhat bready on the finish. A nice beverage when seeking something on the lighter side but still with enough flavoring to be distinctive

Nov 28, 2008 Oberon is a great wheat ale all summer long. It provides a template for other American wheats to work from as it is aromatic and richly flavored. Increasingly yeasty in finish as a nod to German wheats. very nice.

Nov 28, 2008 First thing, I dont really like wheat beers. Except for this and Gumball head. Hazy orange pour with a fluffy head and nice spiced aroma. This beer brings back memories and is still a fun pour/
