MHED (111), lisle, USA Sep 24, 2007 12 oz. btl. poured an orange and slightly hazy opaque color with small white head. subtle malt and bread, little hop presence, and finishes soft and slightly sweet. very nice and drinkable for style. great big session beer.
esjaygee (918), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Nov 28, 2008 Amber with no head. Aroma of toasted malt, grain and mild spice. Taste of malt, mild yeast and caramel. I’m a huge fan of Bells but this one is a bit sub-par though not a very exciting style to begin with. puzzl (1901), New York, New York, USA Nov 28, 2008 Pours a ruddy orange with no head. Kind of spicy, cinnamon nose, though keeps the underlying crispy munich oktoberfest aroma intact. Almost reminds me of a cross between a light pumpkin beer and a marzen. Flavor is gummy, and a bit salty and minerally, though is still pretty dead on style, despite the odd notes. Fairly easy drinking with a nice, gentle carb. Decent enough.
CaryTheDude (489), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Nov 26, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Damn good Oktoberfest. Lasted till November, too. Smooth as... uh... something really smooth. mar (754), Dallas, Texas, USA Nov 26, 2008 bottle thanks to Bman113vr. nice amber pour with a tiny head. caramel, malts and a nice scent of fall. very nice on the palate and a smooth flavor of caramel and a clean finish. Swalden28 (712), McKinney, Texas, USA Nov 21, 2008 Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR.
Pours a clear bright orange with white head. Aroma of some caramel malt and spice. Flavor is malty, some spice, vegitable......did have odd after taste I didn’t find too pleasing....Light-med. body with high carbonation...Overall, this could have been better without that strange after taste.
