Pours a nice dark brown with a frothy beige head. The aroma is husky dark malts, mild roast, and a touch of sweetness. The flavor is similar with a good dose of dark malts, some chocolate, and some light roast. The finish is a little dry and roasty with a moderate hop profile as well. Carbonation is medium, and the beer drinks smooth. lordeche (336), Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA Oct 6, 2008 Dark brown with some amber highlights and an off-white head. Aroma is mild with notes of roasted malts, cocoa, vanilla, and nuttiness. Flavor is also mild, bordering on thin, although the flavor that is there is good- chocolate, vanilla, and some slight smokey roasted notes. Creamy mouthfeel is nice. mcjay (78), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA Oct 5, 2008 Updated: Oct 6, 2008Dark amber/black color with a thin tan head.
