MrBunn (951), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2008 On tap at Eccentric Cafe. Pour reveals a reddish haze with a bit of a white head. Aromas are straight raspberry (a bit on the sour side) with little else to offer. Still, it’s not like an artificial raspberry smell, so things are off to a good (but kind of foo-foo) start. Flavor is more raspberry with a blast of tartness and little other flavoring. This is simple raspberry, but good enough.
iowaherkeye (1428), relocated to Santa Rosa f/Iowa, California, USA Jan 27, 2008 On tap @ Maduro, Bells GTMW pre-party 8/10/07. Hazy pinkish red with a thin white head. Aroma of fresh tart raspberries, Sprite, light Cherry Luden’s cough drops. Flavor was again the Luden’s (not necessarily a bad thing in this case), a and bit of Band-Aid. Moderate carbonation with a light body. A pretty decent raspberry beer CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA Nov 18, 2007 On tap at Maduro prior to the 2007 GTMW: Pours a bright ruby red with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of fresh sweet raspberries and a touch of light maltiness. Body starts with a light fruity sweetness and good sweet tart balance toward a crisp finish. A nice fruit beer. Ughsmash (3148), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 13, 2007 On tap at Maduro – GTMW pre-party. Poured a slightly hazy raspberry pink with not much sticking around for head. Aroma was of sweet, fresh raspberries all over the nose.. quite enjoyable with no artificial sweeteners noted.. not much else in there, but that was OK. Flavor picked up sweet and tart fresh raspberries from the core outward.. lightly bitter and sour raspberry seed impression surrounded the tongue beautifully, along with a touch of wheaty sours.. simple again, but tasty. Light-bodied and a touch grainy with nice balance.. very good, highly drinkable, refreshing summer brew. 1FastSTi (2423), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Aug 12, 2007 Tap at Maduro pre-GTMW party. The beer pours to a lightly hazy medium red body with a small white head that fully dissipates. The aroma is leafy hops, cherry and raspberry, and not much else. The flavor is leafy hops, raspberries and cherries, with a subtle vanilla. The beer has a nice light sweetness and subtle sourness. Light body that finishes clean. Watery at little bit, with a fizzy carbonation. Balanced mouthfeel.
