Commercial Description:
An abundance of rye grains provide a spicy twist to otherwise traditional stout flavors. A unique approach to an entirely new style of stout.

Pours a black color with a reddish tint and a medium light brown head. Malty aroma with rye and cocoa hints. Taste is dry malty flavor with hints of baking chocolate and rye. Average.

Very pleasant aroma of sweet chocolate, toffee, rasberries and cherries. . . Great roasted malt flavour, good balance of bitter coffee and chocolate with cherries and subtle campfire.

Thanks to KingpinIPA for the bottle. Very distinctive roasted malt and roasted coffeebeans aroma, dark black small head color, very smooth texture coffee chocolate roasted malt taste, medium bitterness, mild sweetness, tastes like oatmeal in the aftertaste, guess that must be the rye I liked it a lot

Dark brown pour, thin, sparse creamy light brown head. Aroma is mostly roasted grainy beer. Flavor adds some sweet, rich coffee with fruit hints. Flavor is better than the aroma, but I wish it was a little richer, especially since it is Bells.

pours a very dark brown with a thin tan head. aroma is slightly coffee-like and malty. flavor has the whole sweet/sour thing going on...with the coffee sweetness and some yeasty sourness thing..somewhere in the middle of trumpeters and the oatmeal.

Similar to Bell’s november stouts. Traditional dark roasted nose and flavor. However, this was not as bitter as some of the other Bells stouts. One of my favorite seasonal stouts of this brewer.

tap at eccentric.....appearance: dark brown but not yet black with thin tan head.....aroma: roasted bitterness, toffee, and chocolate.....taste: sweet malt, chocolate, and then a bite of peppery spice to give it some character. finish was of a burnt roast.

Dark brown pour, light seeps through. Almost cola colored. Aroma of rye, smoke, a bit of chocolate. Flavor is strong rye, dark chocolate, Smooth flavor of dark chocolate and strong, bitter rye. I like that the rye is pronounced and strong. Great offering from Bell’s.
