Commercial Description:
An abundance of rye grains provide a spicy twist to otherwise traditional stout flavors. A unique approach to an entirely new style of stout.

Draft at Eccentric Cafe. Poured a dark dark brown color with only a bit of orange light getting through. Head was thin and tan.Not much in the way of aroma with the exception of some chocolate. Slightly sweet up front with a dry and slightly mouth-puckering finish. Medium bodied. Tasted of bitter chocolate, tangy rye, and a bit of dark bread. Interesting beer, but I didn’t like it as much as their other exceptional stouts.

12 oz bottle via trade with demitriustown. Pours black as the fur on a panther with a head that was really dissapointing that is until it dissappeared completely leaving a vague arcapelago of residue on the top. Roasty aroma that I assume has a bit of Rye to it, but I don’t really know what rye smells like. Its tasty with a nice something extra I’m guessing is the rye. The carbonation is nice and sticks to the tongue. Overall good but not super exciting. Very easy to drink for a 6.7.

Bottle from lampeno420 and I just want to say thanks! Black pour with a very, very small tan head. Aroma is full of chocolate, roasted malt and a good hint of smoke. The rye makes itself known on the nose and the tongue as well. The body is a bit thin, but the flavor is sweet and rich. Molasses, raisins, chocolate, hints of smoke and rye and a finish of hops...damn this is good. I wish I could get more...this would be one of my "go to" beers if available to me.

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Almost black with a low dissapearing beige head. Slightly spicy aroma with notes of toasted malts, biscuit, marzipan and black coffee. Grainy flavour of coffee, mild spices and biscuit. Mild but long aftertaste of fresh, grassy hops, coco-powder, biscuit, all-spice and black coffee. A really interesting stout (as usual from Bella). Quite complex but could be more concentraded....

Bottle. Smokey rye malt and coffee aroma. Pitch black with a moderate head initially that quickly disappears. Nice creamy coffee and light rye flavor with a smokey finish. Light palate but I really like it that way. Excellent but rather light stout.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a black color with brown highlights and a ring of light brown lace on top. Good aroma of rye and roasted malt, the flavor has the same elements but they feel milder. The body is light while the carbonation is moderate. Not bad but the flavor lack some punch.

Bell’s is liquid crack for Stout lovers like me. This beer pours almost black with a medium thin light brown head. Very little lacing. Nice bittersweet aroma of chocolate and black cherry. Flavor is a smooth blend of roasted coffee and what I am assuming must be rye. Points for pulling off something unique so well.
