MFootball (10), USA May 16, 2008 Didn’t care for this nearly as much as other Bell’s offerings.
To me it tastes overly sweet and leaves a little bit of a rough after-taste. I drank it out of a 12 oz. bottle, so I can’t comment much on the appearance, although it appeared to have a medium yellowish to copper tint.
It was drinkable and hid the ABV very well, but I don’t think I’ll be trying it again.
BeerFanDan17 (375), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Sep 4, 2008 Sampled at the Tampa Lowry Park Zoo WaZoo Festival. Smooth and not overly carbonated. Very unique with a fruity and almost wheaty flavor. Mr_Stitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2008 On tap and the Eccentric Cafe. Pours a clear sparkling gloden orange with a two finger head that has some staying power. Aroma is cloves, bananna, spices, and yeast. Taste is much of the same with hints of lemon mixed in for good measure. Mouthfeel is light and bubbly much like a sparkling wine. A good beer that I would recommend. unclemike (351), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Aug 30, 2008 Bottled) Hazy golden color with a medium head. Yeasty, bananaish, witbier-spicy aroma with lemon and grainy-wheaty malt hints. Citrus-honey-malty, yeasty flavor with honey sweetness and some smooth alcohol. Medium-bodied, slightly alcoholic and foamy-carbonated palate. A quite nice summer drink, which combines a honey-alcoholic Belgian Strong Ale with sweet Weizen and spicy Witbier. Lacks the special something, though beezz86 (29), Jasper, Indiana, USA Aug 29, 2008 Bottle. Beer poured a golden color with a slight bit of haziness and minimal white head. I really liked the aroma of this beer which I thought had a spicy and fruity aroma. The beer had a medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. The flavor was enjoyable as I could taste the subtle hints of spices and fruit that I found in the aroma. This beer definately beats the other Triple I have tried. The aroma made for a very enjoyable beer and one that I would definately drink again. Beerman6686 (724), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2008 Poured a nice sparklnig yellow with a big white head. Aroma is of spices, and tart fruit. Flavor isnt as fruity as the aroma, but the sourness is there which finishes well to balance out the spices, Very interesting offering.
