Pours black with a tan head. Nose was roasted malt, coco powder, some coffee. Taste has a lot of complexity with the malts. The flavor is excellent, though, with some coffee and milk flavors, and a light sweetness. Cream and chocolate in the finish. Mouthfeel is very thick and nice. Bells is so awesome.

Pours black with a nice tan head from the bottle. More smokey than creamy, which I found strange. Raisin, pepper, and faint cocoa are also detectable. Much different than what I was anticipating, but still up to the bells standard.

(11.26.08) 12 oz. bottle: Black pour with small light brown head. Roasty aroma of coffee, milk chocolate. Creamy palate, typical of a sweet stout. Flavor is like the nose, milky, roasty, malty.

Pours black in color with a small tan head. Aroma or roasted coffee and chocolate. Intial malty chocolate flavor and finishes with a burn coffee taste. Pretty tasty beer.

Thick near black, very light head. Roasty oily aroma. Roast bitterness. Vanilla bean? Hops come on late. Licorice. Basically similar to any other good American stout.

Bottle. Pours Opaque black, with a thin light brown head. Nose is coffeeish, but smooth. Notes of baking chocolate, some roasty espresso. Light. Flavor is licorice and coffee with a bit of cream, sweet but roasty finish. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, but light, with light but crisp carbonation.
