| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2009 [12oz bottle] Dark thick and rich looking. Viscous with good carbonation which leaves a good bit of lacing on the glass. Strong roasted barley, a bit of smoke and bitter chocolate aroma. Some sweetness but well balanced and not overbearing and a bitter finish. Creamy and smooth but not as heavy on the palette as I would have thought. A decent beer but not overly complex.
