Another amazing beer by Bell’s (and happy to hear we might be getting Bell’s in AZ soon!!!) 14 karat tangerine color with a tightly woven 1/4-inch ivory head that left some web-like lacing inside of the glass. Aroma is sharp pine and lemongrass. Lots of herbal hops in this one. Flavor is quite resinous...like lickin’ sap off of a Ponderosa (not that I’ve ever done that). Decent amount of caramel malt to offset the citrus bite. A bit syrupy but the nearly 11% wasn’t noticeable. Very well put together brew.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Deep golden orange body with a thin white head. Big floral citrus nose, not the sharp citrus, but more sweet tangerine notes, like citrus candy. This is my kind of IIPA, less on the beefy bitterness, more so on the big floral notes with an ample sweetness to balance. JPDIPSO (4926), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2009 LIght copper color with a dense beige head. Aromas of heavy fruit, somewhat tropical and plenty of hops, both citric and pine-like. Quite sweet and thick and chewy. A citric bitterness does a decent job balancing. Flavors of tropical fruit and hints of alcohol along with a mild pepper bite. Nice, but I like a balance ot two hearted better. jcwattsrugger (5532), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

The aroma is sweet with pineapple, mangos, caramel and a bit of lacto. The flavor is smooth and sweet. A little spicy, tropical, and piney in the finish. Good balance. Full bodied, but not syrupy. Very nice. piscator34 (1131), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Light orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are very tropical, with papaya and mango dominating along with some wood and pale malts in the background. Far less fruity in the mouth, with sharper wood and citrus hop notes. Any malt elements are pushed to the background. Focused and sharp bitterness, with a short yet pleasing finish. I wasn’t wild about the aroma, but I like how it tasted overall. Aroma is so hoppy I love it. Tons of citrus and pine notes along with sweet caramell. Taste is WOW hops delight. Grapefruit peel, pine, sweetness, apricot, all working together. Ample white head on this hazy, well carbonated dark orange beer. Really solid hop aroma. Citrus & pine resin in the amazingly hoppy body. This is what I imagine hop extract would taste like.
