| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 12, 2009 On tap. Pours amber-orange. Fresh citrus hop aroma with a distinct leafy component. Falvor has lemonade, caramel malt sweetness, and herbal hops. Pretty solid, certainly not a shy beer. JohnC (2288), Mission Viejo, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 12, 2007 Updated: Nov 13, 2007on draft at brewery, consumed on 11/12/07. Not as dark as their amber ale, this beer is a little on the orange/copper side. A resiny hop character greets the nose. Very well-balanced malt/hops flavor, neither overpowering nor overwhelmed. Slightly astringent aftertaste where hops linger on the palate. Not as hoppy as the name would leave you to believe, though hoppier than most red ales I have had. riversideAK (2803), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2008Had this one a while back and forgot to rate it. I am pretty sure it is an American Strong Ale. It had a pretty strong citrus aroma. Poured a dark red. Flavor was pretty much grapefruit and pine with some mild toffee malt flavor. Resiny and thick. This one kind of reminded me of Arrogant Bastard in a smaller sense. This was a nice special beer, and I wanted to get a growler of it, but got the Strawberry Blonde because the old lady wanted a fruit beer.
