On tap, although I have seen bottles. Pours with a clear golden body and a ring of head. Strong strawberry and lightly grainy aroma. Was told by the brewer that this was the Marathon with strawberries. Sure tastes like it. Taste is strawberry and lightly harsh grains. Thin and fizzy mouthfeel.

Sample pour at Brewery. Aroma of fresh strawberry, not much else. At least it wasn’t sugary-pungent. Mouthfeel is predicably light, mildly prickly. Flavor was soft strawberries like a well-balanced dessert. A bit one-sided and simple – the kind of fruit beers beer snobs love to hate – but I could see someone (female) being pleasantly surprised at this beer as an alternative to a wine cooler.

Bottle: Interesting brew, has a wine-like feel, very dry with sweet astringent notes. Strawberry aroma is powerful and reflected in the taste. No aftertaste at all a nice palate cleanser. Food Pairing: Soft cheeses.

Bottle. Poured a dull, straw yellow color with a slightly creamy white head. Aroma of popcorn and strawberries; a bit strange, but ok. Flavor was also a bit strange; strawberry, must, flowers, and straw. It was just a bit strange; not overtly bad, but really not good at all.

What a horrible beer. My brother-in-law picked this up at our local BevMo and neither of us had tried it before. There’s no way in hell anyone would ever purposely buy this product again and again. It’s just crappola in a bottle, with a label that makes it look like a wine.

The beer pours out a pale yellow color, clear with a foamy head, 2-finger thick. The aroma had no strawberries at all in it. Mostly it was wrought with stale malt and cardboard. It didn’t smell horrible, but it didn’t smell pleasing either. Flavors had a strange, tartness to it, very dry almost like eating an extremely underripe strawberry (ya know the ones that are nearly white in the middle). Just horrible. The silver lining would be I didn’t buy the bottle, so I can’t feel too bad.

22oz bottle -contract brewed at Bayhawk Ales-. Poured a lighter and hazy yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of strawberries -not fresh strawberries, more of an artificial aroma-. Tastes of strawberries -but not as strong as the aromas-. Lightly sweet with a light tart finish.

Bottle from Wades Wines in Westlake Village, CA. This one tasted right on strawberries and was a nice, light departure from some of the stronger brews we usually get. As a fruit beer, that’s what you’re getting: a flavored half-beer. Not great, but not terrible either.
