timfoolery (379), California, USA Sep 16, 2008 Updated: Sep 22, 2008 Bottle from Wades Wines in Westlake Village, CA. This one tasted right on strawberries and was a nice, light departure from some of the stronger brews we usually get. As a fruit beer, that’s what you’re getting: a flavored half-beer. Not great, but not terrible either.
auderale (500), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA May 14, 2008 Draft: Golden colored pour with little to no head. Fruity, malty aroma, with hints of strawberry. Sweet malty finish. I liked this. USCMustangman (41), Alabama, USA May 9, 2008 Pours a clear, golden coor with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is sourish strawberries. Flavor has some strawberries to it, but not all that strong. Palate is pretty thin, but not unexpected. Overall its something I might suggest for my girlfriend or would consider drinking on a really hot day,but it wouldn’t be my first choice. chadje (99), Pasadena, California, USA Feb 25, 2008 A very strong head with a vibrant strawberry smell. Smells more strawberry than taste. Not bad, but wouldn’t consider it good either. jgb9348 (1863), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Feb 16, 2008 Super blonde coloured body, slightly hazy with a light white head. Aroma of light fruits, strawberries, caster sugar and a pale malt with a tiny amount of hops. Light-bodied; Nice pale maltiness with some sugars noticeable along with a faint fruityness and very little else. Aftertaste shows more of the same with a little more malt and fruit coming out. Overall, this one failed to live up to any expectations, just because it was from SD. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from a small liquor store near Hodad’s in Ocean Beach, San Diego, California on 03-December-2005.
