Rich red brew with an obvious toffee/caramel taste, red fruit and a dry bitterness. The bitterness increases towards the finish giving a well flavoured if a little unbalanced brew. (Cask at Nottingham Beer Festival)

On hand pump from the Cask in The Alexandra Hotle in Derby. I believe this was specially brewed for the Nottingham Beer festival, but a barrel has found it’s way to Derby. Bresed under the old Shopstones name. Pretty standard & nothing special, but a good standard old beer.
