Burgundy with ruby flashes and a filthy if fleeting tan rim. Aroma is shrubby Germanic hop and honey; unusual for a mild but I’m not complaining. Rich Tea thinly knifed with Nutella and may I roast in hell if I’m lying, but there is distinct note of FRESH coriander/rocket there+soapy bitterness. Afters nutty and herbal, some berries trying to make themselves felt. Thinnish and uncreamy. Odd, untypical mild with no sweet or roasted character. I like it. Instantly nutty, dry for a mild with a lingering bitterness, plenty of flavour with dark roasted malts and the roasted hazelnut type flavour. Easy drinking, quite pleasant.
