blackmurder (164), sadf, Hawaii, USA Jul 11, 2006 Updated: Jul 21, 2006 Ever had Steel Reserve? Yeah, this is the one thing I can compare it to. This beer kicks you in the face with it’s extreme hairspray malt liqour crap factory taste. It is terrible in flavor, and only cool to me because it is a European strong ale and reminds me of something people would have drank a few hundred years ago. Still, do not buy this.
Tmoney99 (3717), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 31, 2008 Bottle from Crown #19, Indy. Poured clear golden color with a medium to large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Complex aroma of yeasty and malty. Body was medium with a sticky texture and lively carbonation. Flavor was sweet malt with a medium bittersweet smooth finish and small alcohol burn of moderate duration. Good, not great beer. kappldav123 (1128), Markkleeberg, Germany Oct 31, 2008 The bottle looks not good, too demonic. The beer in the glass lighter than exspected, some foam. Very alcoholic aroma. Starts sweet, almost oily. The finish is drier, scratchy. Unbalanced finish. Warming aftertaste. I think they just wanted to make a strong beer and forgot to make a good beer! jcwattsrugger (4067), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 23, 2008 8.4oz bottle-pours a thin off white head and amber color. Aroma is medium malt-some sweet, slight alcohol bite. Taste is herbal/medicinal, medium malt-some sweet/caramel, slight alcohol bite.
