ABUSEDGOAT (1924), California, USA Jul 5, 2008 Reddish amber color. Aroma is crystal malt, grapefruit, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness and sweetness. Decent amber.
cathcacr (527), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 3, 2008 On draft at Belmont Station. Perfect appearance, an unfiltered dark amber with ample head. On the taste end, it’s missing that crisp, tingly hoppy bite you’d expect for a beer like this. It ends up somewhat flat even if flavorful. fakepurseninja (578), Washington, USA Jul 23, 2008 on-tap, Bend Brewing - Had on both regular and Nitro tap - Looked great, deep amber hue with a big white head (on the nitro) - Sharp hop presence, very ’fresh hop’ essence, piney with moderate grapefruit. Rich caramel malt backbone - preferred the nitro, fuller mouthfeel and really softened the astringency of the hops. carboloader (301), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 13, 2008 On tap at the Bend pub. Pours amber with tan head. Decently hoppy and bitter. Malt sweetness and a little citrus, but seems watery with a smooth finish. Not bad at all. Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 10, 2008 On tap at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, OR--Definitely looked like an amber ale with a small whitish head. Hoppy grapefruit and caramel hops nose. Very nice for the most part, but a little watery in the finish.
