Feb 12, 2008 1/1/08 At the BrewPub with Bikesandbeer after a day’s drive from Portland, Brewery 5 of the trip. Pours cloudy orange with a bright white head with lots of lacing, served with a lemon that we discarded. Nose is light wheat with lingering lemon. Taste is sweet light not bad not amazing.

May 3, 2003 A very nice Hefeweizen, but then I like wheat beer. Very nice hops and citric flavors. Color golden wheat, good head retention, nice clean finish. Goes very well with the excellent food at Bend brewery.

Jun 18, 2008 On tap at the source in Bend, OR--Murky, cloudy, burnt golden-orange-maize hue with a tiny white-laced head. Served with a lemon so it was difficult to determine how much lemon smell was because of this addition or from beer itself. Lemony, citrus, wheaten esters. Crisp, chalky, and refreshing. Dry-sweet finish. Quite good.

May 22, 2007 Draft at the Brewpub: Cloudy golden/orange color with a small white head and nice lacing. Nose is sweet with citrus, some wheat and malt as well. The taste is primarily the wheat tones, some citrus and caramel malt presence. Not bad, but not remarkable.

Jan 12, 2005 Glowing murky yellow. Light flavors overall... good medium thickness but not much to taste.. light lemon and wheat... sweet and citrusy but not deep. Soapy nose loses this one some points.

Nov 30, 2003 Draft at brewery: Clear and light golden. Light on the tongue, but with a lively carbonation. Malts were light but very sweet. None of the typical clove or banana hefe aromas/flavors to be found. At least it had some nice hops, which were flowery and herbal -- very aromatic.

Mar 21, 2006 Cloudy and hazy golden with a wonderful egg white head. Very substantial this one has staying power, unfortunately the flavor does not. Grainy toasted cereal malt flavor. A typical NW style American Wheat.

Aug 12, 2005 On Tap at the bewpub. Light hazy golden color with a thin film of white head. Spotty lacing. Very soft and faint maltiness with an expectedly nearly non-existant hop componant. For some reason it tasted a lot like the big fat lemon wedge that was stuck on the side of the glass. Unflterd chalky feel. Nothing special.
