Nice golden color with a very small white head. Decent all-appealing pour. carboloader (318), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 13, 2008 On tap at the Bend pub. This is the only golden ale I’ve ever had that I liked very much. I agree with Abusedgoat that it seems more like a pale ale at first. Pours cloudy yellow with not much aroma, but decent malt, soft hops, and easy, smooth finish. Easy drinking session beer jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA May 22, 2007 Draft at the Brewpub: Pours a golden straw color with a light haze. Moderate white head, but no real lacing. Faint aroma of malt, kind of sweet. The taste is wheaty, malt, and maybe caramel. Very smooth, yet I have to drop my overall rating because my wife liked it. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Nov 3, 2006 Oh man.. had to be an APA. I was gonna say that this was the best golden ale I’ve had. Oh well. Not sure it’s an APA either as I got German hops, but whatever. German hops, caramel, bread. Orangish color with a relatively heavy body for a golden ale, but whatever. One of those borderline styling beers.
