Just a hint of diacetyl is present, butterscotch biscuity maltiness, a decent body, and is a litttle bigger for the style, clean and easy to drink. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA

The beer finishes with just a touch of bitterness. The sweet nose is made more interesting by a mild hop spiciness. Very light body, a bit watery, but with a slight crispness in the finish. Light golden in color, clear, with many slowly rising carbonation bubbles showing through nicely. Whitish head pours quite large, and retention and ringed lacing are excellent. It’s a bit less flavorful than I like in my golden ales, but the gentle bitterness makes this a decent offering. IndianaRed (1562), Boise, Idaho, USA

Pale modest maltiness with a matching weak hop profile. Drinkable but not particularly interesting. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Nose of light floral hops, light malt. Eh, fairly boring. Probably the same malt bill as the hefe but diff yeast. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2005 Light amber with a filmy head and small lace. Mellow malts and a lemony hop aroma. Sweet citrus. Bitter comes out leading to citrus and some spices. Good backing of malts. Bold for a golden, almost a pale. It finishes bitter and malty.

Sweet - but light - malt base. Aromatic and flowery hops were nice. Mild bitterness in the clean and dry finish. Not overwhelming with flavor, but easy to drink. Light amber in color, with a mild hop aroma. A hop flavor, but rather light. leaving the beer seeming a bit bland to me.
